    • Job Description

    What your day will look like:

  • Managing a specialised caseload of clients, supporting them to return to work following a workplace injury or illness
  • Working with people with complex psychological diagnoses and supporting them as they return to their usual activities and work.
  • Undertaking a variety of injury prevention, management and RTW assessments and services, to support clients back to health and work
  • Working with a variety of stakeholders - injured clients, employers, insurers, treating health practitioners - to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to work for your clients.
  • Providing psychoeducation and training to clients and employers using our award-winning biopsychosocial health coaching tool, Positivum and healthy mind training packages.
  • Our Mental Health Social Workers may also be provided with the opportunity to provide clinical services through our Access Psych brand, per below

    • With the potential for complimentary work with our Access Psych brand, you have the opportunity to be your best in a supportive team environment while avoiding the risk of burnout or clinical fatigue. This work involves all facets of psychology, counselling and therapy services, including:

  • Early intervention programs
  • Mediation and conflict resolution services
  • Medicare treatment
  • Participating in pilots and research to design and implement new ways of working with injury and illness
  • Psychological assessments
  • Workcover/CTP treatment intervention
  • Workplace mental health training
  • EAP treatment

    • Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Social Work
  • Full Professional Registration with ASORC (Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors) or are an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers)
  • A passion for improving lives through work and health
  • Enthusiasm for professional development
  • Strong desire as part of a dynamic, social and hard-working team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders
