    Access to Councils Variable Working Hours
    The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising 4 steps within the range shown.
    The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade.
    Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
    DutiesReporting directly to the Lead – Coastal Management, the focus of this position is to:
    Work as part of a team to meet project milestones as well as deadlines associated with the Shoalhaven coastal management program for the open coasts in accordance with the NSW Coastal Management Act 2016
    Project manage Coast & Estuary Grants and other in accordance with the Coastal Management Act
    This will include the preparation of environmental assessments and associated licences and approvals in order to manage the implementation of contracted works
    Develop grant applications and comply with associated grant reporting requirements
    Carry out community consultation and engagement
    Review existing coastal data and associated information, and provide advice on improving the efficiency of the data and information to a higher standard
    Provide technical advice on coastal planning matters in relation to proposed developments and land use planning
    Contribute to strategic planning for estuaries and coastal areas
    Skills & Experience
    To be successful in the position, you will possess:Completed tertiary qualifications in coastal management, environmental science, environmental/civil/structural engineering, or relevant discipline
    Demonstrated experience (approx.
    1+ years) within a coastal management or project management environment, with working knowledge of the Local Government Act and Coastal Management Act

    Demonstrated ability to manage grant projects to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget and meet project outcomes.

    Experience in grant funding applications, reporting and management.
    Experience in the development and application of relevant environmental licences and approvals.
    Class C Driver's Licence
