The Graduate Mental Health Nurse Program (GMHNP) provides:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is a major health provider in the state, offering a wide range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, along with rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient, and community programs.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS) deliver high-quality care across the RMH, including acute adult inpatient, eating disorders, neuropsychiatry, community care, and community programs.
The RMH MHS provides personalized, recovery-focused care, treatment, and support through their multi-disciplinary team of skilled clinicians and Lived and Living Experience (LLE) consumer and carer experts. They are committed to providing compassionate and high-quality specialist mental health services for adults and older adults facing or at risk of developing a serious mental illness.
Our GMHNP offers a specialized education pathway to help nurses transition to a career in mental health nursing.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check and a Working with Children Check. All RMH employees must demonstrate evidence of an immunization assessment, including vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses) and Influenza with a TGA approved vaccine (mandatory for all clinical and patient-facing roles) prior to commencement.
